Expo Highlights

About the Expo
Gardening enthusiast groups have come together to make a gardening extravaganza
The NZAGS is a dynamic club aimed at horticultural excellence, sharing skills and a love of small, alpine, woodland and bulbous plants.
A venerable institution with 160 years in the making and right up with the play today, offering classes and groups covering all that is interesting in gardening.
SI National Daffodil Society
The 99th Annual South Island National Daffodil Society Show will be at the Botanical Expo this year. This celebration of daffodils promises to be a Spring spectacular with daffodil displays of all the different colours and forms available in the world today. Most of these blooms are hybrids having been bred over the last 120 years from species daffodils found in the wild in Europe.
Avon Floral Art
A group of creatives who are passionate about flowers, plants and all things horticultural, who use a variety of materials to make thrilling displays. Founding contributors to Botanical Expo, this year for the first time they are holding their annual competition at the Expo, with members competing for awards, putting the best of their creativity on display.
The Christchurch Club has been sharing the art of bonsai since 1968, making them one of the longest active bonsai clubs in New Zealand. Visit their expo display to admire their work and experience live bonsai demonstrations by Tony Bywater, a highly regarded expert from Canterbury. Don’t miss this opportunity to see artistry in action!
Garden Clubs + Open Gardens
